Livorno, Tuscany

A coastal city.
A different rhythm
for learning.

The four days unfold in Livorno, where the sea, open horizons and lived character of a Tuscan port create space to slow down, notice more and think together.

Evenings remain free for each Duo or Team to walk, eat and spend time together. These informal outings are self-organised and not included in the program fee — but they are an important part of the shared experience.

The experience

Knowledge becomes practice
when you can read the effect
of your choices.

CEB Clinical Immersion gives you protected time to observe, formulate, decide, receive immediate feedback and try again.

The work brings functional emotional development into dialogue with sensory processing, body organisation, posture, movement, play and relationship. The aim is not stylistic imitation. It is a more conscious and transferable clinical reasoning process.

“What is making action, engagement and development possible — or difficult — for this child, in this moment, with this person?”

A repeatable practice cycle

Observe. Hypothesise.
Choose. Notice. Adjust.

Four days in Livorno

A progression,
not a collection
of techniques.

01

Learning to see

Separate description from interpretation. Notice regulation, engagement, body, movement and the quality of interaction.

02

From profile to modulation

Connect individual differences and sensory-motor foundations to choices that remain tentative, testable and precise.

03

Deciding in the moment

Work with timing, pacing, affect and repair. Notice when to wait, join, simplify, amplify or change position.

04

Making learning transferable

Integrate observation, hypotheses and action into a personal 90-day professional development plan.

CARE
FIRST

A protected learning environment

Care is not around the experience.
Care shapes the experience.

Every family decides which named practitioners, if any, may observe. No more than two visiting professionals are assigned to a child session. Consent is specific, voluntary and can change at any time.

  • Separate permission for observation and any active role
  • No participant recordings or identifiable material taken away
  • Equivalent protected learning if an appointment changes
  • Learning hours preserved without promising access to a specific child

Choose your format

Intimate by design.
Flexible by format.

Both formats keep clinical work in dyads. The difference is how much learning is individual and how much is shared with a team.

Your mentor

Rossana
Giorgi

Developmental neuro and psychomotor therapist · DIRFloortime® Expert Training Leader · Advanced Sensory Proficient

Rossana integrates developmental and relational reasoning with close attention to sensory processing, body organisation, posture, movement and play. Since 2018 she has taught within the model’s professional certificate pathway and developed her work through international training and mentorship, including experience in the United States.

Her work at Centro Evoluzione Bambino is known by families and professionals across Italy, many of whom travel to Livorno for highly individualised assessment, intensive clinical pathways and a way of working that keeps observation, family partnership and real-time adjustment closely connected.

“The goal is not to give you my answer. It is to help you recognise what your next question needs to be.”

How CEB works

Intensive does not mean rigid.
It means clinically concentrated.

CEB brings evaluation, intervention, observation and reflection closer together. Intensity is chosen when appropriate and continuously adjusted to the child’s regulation, participation, fatigue and developmental priorities.

01

Intensive pathways

Concentrated multi-day work can include morning and afternoon sessions, preparatory conversations and coordinated clinical input. The structure is defined around the individual child, never applied as a standard package.

02

Video-informed reasoning

Selected recordings, where lawful and authorised, make it possible to slow down interaction, compare hypotheses and notice how small changes in timing, posture, movement or affect influence participation.

03

Family partnership

Parents are active partners in understanding the child and making learning sustainable in everyday life. They are not asked to become therapists; their knowledge and experience remain central.

04

Flexible clinical design

The order, duration and mix of activities may change in response to what emerges. Clinical priorities lead the plan, while observation, discussion and follow-up preserve continuity and direction.

Beyond the four days

The immersion can be
a beginning.

CEB is open to longer professional stays in Livorno. A clinician who demonstrates readiness, reliability and a strong fit with the CEB approach may be invited to remain in Livorno and work alongside Rossana through a separately agreed pathway.

Express your interest
01

Designed individually

A longer stay may focus on advanced mentoring, observation, guided clinical reasoning, supervised participation or a defined professional collaboration. Its purpose, duration and rhythm are agreed around the practitioner’s profile and CEB’s clinical activity.

02

Readiness comes first

Clinical judgement, boundaries, communication, professional conduct and the ability to receive and use feedback are considered. Completing the four-day immersion does not create an entitlement to continue.

03

A separate agreement

Any continuation has its own written scope, supervision, schedule and financial terms. Professional credentials, insurance, safeguarding, family consent, language and immigration or right-to-work requirements must be satisfied where applicable.

Interested practitioners can mention a possible longer stay in the expression-of-interest form. CEB will discuss it only after assessing the initial application and clinical fit.

What travels home with you

A sharper eye.
A clearer rationale.
A practice that can evolve.

01More precise observational language

02A wider range of testable hypotheses

03Greater awareness of timing and pacing

04A personal 90-day development map

05A trusted peer reflection structure

06A CEB certificate documenting your hours

Application process

Selective, personal,
clear from the beginning.

01

Apply

Choose your format and tell us what you want to develop. No payment is requested.

02

Meet

A brief online conversation explores goals, English, professional fit and group compatibility.

03

Confirm

Receive dates, exact tax treatment and participation terms. Pay the enrolment amount only after written acceptance.

04

Prepare

Complete individual and group calls, learning map, confidentiality and travel preparation.

Practical terms at a glance

Clear commitments
before anyone pays.

The complete agreement, exact VAT treatment and any statutory consumer information are provided after selection and before the enrolment payment.

01

Payments

After written acceptance, Duo participants pay €400 plus applicable VAT and Team participants pay €330 plus applicable VAT to confirm enrolment. The balance — €800 for Duo or €660 for Team, plus applicable VAT — is due seven days before the start.

02

If you cancel

After mandatory withdrawal rights: over 60 days, 80% refund or one free transfer; 31–60 days, 50% refund or transfer with a €250 contribution; 30 days or fewer, non-attendance or early voluntary departure, no refund, subject to mandatory law.

03

If the timetable changes

Equivalent protected learning may replace a changed clinical appointment. A substantial move outside the agreed attendance window gives you the choice of a reasonable new date or refund of the undelivered portion.

04

If CEB cancels

Fees paid for undelivered services are refunded. CEB is not responsible for independent travel costs, so changeable or refundable arrangements are strongly recommended.

05

If a colleague withdraws

CEB may propose a compatible approved replacement or revise the dyad rotation. The price owed by remaining Team members does not automatically increase, and nobody must accept an unsuitable match.

06

Clinical access

No place guarantees access to a particular child, family or appointment. Consent may be limited or withdrawn at any time; protected learning hours and equivalent educational value remain the program commitment.

This is a practical summary. The complete participant agreement, exact tax treatment and any mandatory consumer information are provided before payment and prevail over this summary.

CEB collects the identity, contact and professional information entered in this form to verify the prerequisite, assess professional fit, discuss Duo or Team compatibility and reply to your request. Please do not provide health data or identifiable information about children or families.

Essential site-security processing is based on CEB’s legitimate interest in protecting the service. The required checkbox records that this information was presented; it is not consent for marketing.

Questions, answered clearly

Before you
make the journey.

Who can apply?+

Professionals who have successfully completed DIR 201, work within a relevant professional context and can participate safely in English. Every applicant is selected individually.

Can I apply alone?+

Yes. You can ask CEB to propose a compatible International Duo match, apply with one colleague, or bring a Pre-formed Team of three or four.

How do Team rotations work?+

The whole Team shares theory, debriefing and transfer work. Clinical-lab activities rotate in dyads, with equivalent allocation for every participant and no more than two visiting professionals assigned to a child session.

Will I participate directly in sessions?+

When it is clinically appropriate, within professional scope, covered by insurance and specifically authorised by the family. Observation and active participation are separate permissions.

Can the clinical timetable change?+

Yes. Family needs and clinical priorities come first. The protected attendance window and learning hours remain the commitment; equivalent video, simulation or reasoning activities may replace a changed appointment.

When will the dates be communicated?+

CEB proposes available four-day windows after the initial professional review. You decide whether a proposed window is workable before any place, agreement or payment is confirmed.

When are payments due?+

After admission and written acceptance, Duo participants pay €400 plus applicable VAT and Team participants pay €330 plus applicable VAT to confirm enrolment. The remaining balance is due seven days before the immersion begins.

Can I stay in Livorno for longer?+

Possibly. CEB is open to individually designed longer stays. A practitioner who demonstrates clinical readiness and a strong professional fit may be invited to discuss a separate period of advanced mentorship or professional collaboration alongside Rossana. This is never automatic, is not included in the four-day fee and depends on credentials, insurance, safeguarding, family consent, language, immigration and right-to-work requirements where relevant.

What happens if I need to cancel?+

After any mandatory withdrawal period: more than 60 days before the start, 80% of amounts paid is refunded or you may transfer once to an available edition within 12 months; 31–60 days, 50% is refunded or a transfer is available with a €250 contribution; 30 days or fewer, non-attendance or early voluntary departure, no refund applies, subject to mandatory law. The complete policy is shown before any payment.

What does “plus VAT where applicable” mean?+

CEB confirms the exact invoice treatment and total before the first payment, using your billing country, professional or consumer status and tax information. All prices are expressed in euros.
