Learning to see
Separate description from interpretation. Notice regulation, engagement, body, movement and the quality of interaction.
International English Edition · Livorno, Tuscany, Italy
A selective four-day immersion for practitioners who have completed DIR 201 and want to make observation, decision-making and reflection more precise.
Livorno, Tuscany
The four days unfold in Livorno, where the sea, open horizons and lived character of a Tuscan port create space to slow down, notice more and think together.
Evenings remain free for each Duo or Team to walk, eat and spend time together. These informal outings are self-organised and not included in the program fee — but they are an important part of the shared experience.

The experience
CEB Clinical Immersion gives you protected time to observe, formulate, decide, receive immediate feedback and try again.
The work brings functional emotional development into dialogue with sensory processing, body organisation, posture, movement, play and relationship. The aim is not stylistic imitation. It is a more conscious and transferable clinical reasoning process.
A repeatable practice cycle
Four days in Livorno
Separate description from interpretation. Notice regulation, engagement, body, movement and the quality of interaction.
Connect individual differences and sensory-motor foundations to choices that remain tentative, testable and precise.
Work with timing, pacing, affect and repair. Notice when to wait, join, simplify, amplify or change position.
Integrate observation, hypotheses and action into a personal 90-day professional development plan.
A protected learning environment
Every family decides which named practitioners, if any, may observe. No more than two visiting professionals are assigned to a child session. Consent is specific, voluntary and can change at any time.
Choose your format
Both formats keep clinical work in dyads. The difference is how much learning is individual and how much is shared with a team.
Apply with a colleague or ask CEB to propose a compatible match.

Your mentor
Developmental neuro and psychomotor therapist · DIRFloortime® Expert Training Leader · Advanced Sensory Proficient
Rossana integrates developmental and relational reasoning with close attention to sensory processing, body organisation, posture, movement and play. Since 2018 she has taught within the model’s professional certificate pathway and developed her work through international training and mentorship, including experience in the United States.
Her work at Centro Evoluzione Bambino is known by families and professionals across Italy, many of whom travel to Livorno for highly individualised assessment, intensive clinical pathways and a way of working that keeps observation, family partnership and real-time adjustment closely connected.
“The goal is not to give you my answer. It is to help you recognise what your next question needs to be.”
How CEB works
CEB brings evaluation, intervention, observation and reflection closer together. Intensity is chosen when appropriate and continuously adjusted to the child’s regulation, participation, fatigue and developmental priorities.
Concentrated multi-day work can include morning and afternoon sessions, preparatory conversations and coordinated clinical input. The structure is defined around the individual child, never applied as a standard package.
Selected recordings, where lawful and authorised, make it possible to slow down interaction, compare hypotheses and notice how small changes in timing, posture, movement or affect influence participation.
Parents are active partners in understanding the child and making learning sustainable in everyday life. They are not asked to become therapists; their knowledge and experience remain central.
The order, duration and mix of activities may change in response to what emerges. Clinical priorities lead the plan, while observation, discussion and follow-up preserve continuity and direction.
CEB Clinical Immersion is built inside this clinical culture: participants learn not a fixed protocol, but how to think, adapt and remain accountable to the response in front of them.
Beyond the four days
CEB is open to longer professional stays in Livorno. A clinician who demonstrates readiness, reliability and a strong fit with the CEB approach may be invited to remain in Livorno and work alongside Rossana through a separately agreed pathway.
Express your interestA longer stay may focus on advanced mentoring, observation, guided clinical reasoning, supervised participation or a defined professional collaboration. Its purpose, duration and rhythm are agreed around the practitioner’s profile and CEB’s clinical activity.
Clinical judgement, boundaries, communication, professional conduct and the ability to receive and use feedback are considered. Completing the four-day immersion does not create an entitlement to continue.
Any continuation has its own written scope, supervision, schedule and financial terms. Professional credentials, insurance, safeguarding, family consent, language and immigration or right-to-work requirements must be satisfied where applicable.
Interested practitioners can mention a possible longer stay in the expression-of-interest form. CEB will discuss it only after assessing the initial application and clinical fit.

Practical terms at a glance
The complete agreement, exact VAT treatment and any statutory consumer information are provided after selection and before the enrolment payment.
After written acceptance, Duo participants pay €400 plus applicable VAT and Team participants pay €330 plus applicable VAT to confirm enrolment. The balance — €800 for Duo or €660 for Team, plus applicable VAT — is due seven days before the start.
After mandatory withdrawal rights: over 60 days, 80% refund or one free transfer; 31–60 days, 50% refund or transfer with a €250 contribution; 30 days or fewer, non-attendance or early voluntary departure, no refund, subject to mandatory law.
Equivalent protected learning may replace a changed clinical appointment. A substantial move outside the agreed attendance window gives you the choice of a reasonable new date or refund of the undelivered portion.
Fees paid for undelivered services are refunded. CEB is not responsible for independent travel costs, so changeable or refundable arrangements are strongly recommended.
CEB may propose a compatible approved replacement or revise the dyad rotation. The price owed by remaining Team members does not automatically increase, and nobody must accept an unsuitable match.
No place guarantees access to a particular child, family or appointment. Consent may be limited or withdrawn at any time; protected learning hours and equivalent educational value remain the program commitment.
This is a practical summary. The complete participant agreement, exact tax treatment and any mandatory consumer information are provided before payment and prevail over this summary.
Expression of interest
This first form is used only to assess eligibility and fit. It does not reserve a place or request payment. You may also mention interest in a longer Livorno stay. Do not include child videos, reports or identifiable clinical information.

Possibly. CEB is open to individually designed longer stays. A practitioner who demonstrates clinical readiness and a strong professional fit may be invited to discuss a separate period of advanced mentorship or professional collaboration alongside Rossana. This is never automatic, is not included in the four-day fee and depends on credentials, insurance, safeguarding, family consent, language, immigration and right-to-work requirements where relevant.
